I'm working hard to practice skateboarding tricks by incorporating long-term training methods like the switch ollie.I believe that switch ollie is basically a lack of physical ability because it is the reverse stance of an auxiliary movement in daily life. I'm hoping that I can continue practicing patiently and gain strength, but it seems like I'm going to have a hard time. This is because I'm not good at working hard and patiently.
I haven't been able to make much progress in practicing rotating the skateboard for my skateboard trick, the kickflip, because I'm not very dexterous, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Sometimes it rotates close to my body. When I was in my 50s, I was able to practice as hard as I could without worrying about my stamina or muscle strength, so I think I was able to do the ollie. After I turned 60, I didn't do any physical exercise for about 5 years, so I don't know if it's because my body has become sluggish or because I'm getting older, but I don't have enough stamina. I think I can cope with this in terms of muscle strength, so I would like to practice skateboarding tricks and gradually build up my strength. However, as I mentioned before, I may need to increase the strength of each local area depending on the each skateboarding trick. My motor skills and reflexes are working fine. I feel like both of them are sharper than their functions were in their 50s because their functions are extremely motivated to achieve skateboarding trick goals. This is the biggest factor in preventing my injuries (as mentioned in episode 12, it saved me from a crisis). Normally, I would like to practice rotating the skateboard a lot for the kickflip, but I practice modestly so that I don't hurt my legs like I did when I did the soccer bowl flip.
My method of practicing skateboarding is quite frustrating, but I'm grateful for the benefits I've gained since I turned 60. There is no change in the situation that I will soon be unable to perform skateboard tricks due to a serious injury or illness (because I am old). I would be happy if I could continue doing skateboard tricks for as long as possible without getting seriously injured and staying healthy.
