55 episode Front 180 (4) SK8-60
I mainly practice Front 180, turning 180 degrees in one go. I've been getting better at timing my skateboard snap and twisting my torso backwards. Whenever I tried to turn more than 90 degrees in one go, I would always send my skateboard flying or lose my balance, but now I can turn more than 90 degrees quite stably. I still can't make a complete 180 degree turn. On a good day,I can turn about two-thirds . Also, I still can't completely get rid of the anxiety rarely when I set up in Front 180.
I think skateboarding tricks are very difficult regardless of my old age. Because it's really delicate. On the other hand, I think that it is because I am older (it is easier to analyze myself) that I am able to continue practicing skateboarding tricks because I want to, even though it is difficult (if I were younger, I would have been too clumsy and would not have been able to continue just because I liked it). I've mentioned it before., the more I practice skateboarding tricks, the more I feel that unless I am dexterous, I won't be able to properly coordinate the left and right movements of my body in the exact moment I snap the board.I believe that people who are naturally skilled at moving the left and right sides of their bodies separately have a foundation in neural transmission between the brain and the body. I am clumsy, so I'll need the long time that I learned how to use my left and right body for each skateboard trick from the basics of brain-body neurotransmission. It took me a long time to learn how to Ollie. So, I feel that the instantaneous reaction time when snapping the skateboard (coordinating left and right movements) will be an eternal theme in skateboarding tricks for someone as clumsy as me.
I know that skateboarding tricks will be my weak field, so I'll take my time and tackle the remaining third of Front 180. Self-analysis and awareness of the current situation, which are unique to the elderly, seems like a good idea.
